About the Artists:
Stephen Lee Hodgkins
Stephen is a chronic doodler and a group printmaker with an interest in voices of the people and their experiences of local places and community spaces.
At the library Stephen will make a lino cut of the stunning Burnholme building, then print this on a restored Adana 8x5” table top printing machine multiple times, getting people in the library to add positive words, thoughts and memories using some old wood type, some from the Delittle type foundry of York.
This will hopefully result in one large ‘pop art’ style piece for Burnholme, and individual prints from those that take part. All welcome.
Alun makes origami, and makes photographs without a camera, and sometimes combines the two processes!
At the library he will be using old books to make 3D origami structures, 'memory boxes' which change into unique pictures, and special see-through 'metamorphograms' which will hang against the windows.
All are welcome to join in and help with the creating!
